This is a gallery where you can learn about your body and pretend to be a doctor, dentist or midwife.

You can expect to see

  • Traffic lights and a count-down clock at the entrance
  • Plastic body parts - it's ok, they're not real
  • Flashing lights in the brain section
  • Moving projection on the floor - our interactive pond
  • Flashing lights in the body scanner
  • A heat camera that shows how hot or cold parts of your body are

What will you hear?

Sounds: Low

You can expect to hear

  • A talking robot called Zoom
  • The giant nose sneezing
  • Bodily noises from the digestive system exhibit
  • A dancing skeleton that plays music - triggered by movement.

What will you smell?

Smells: Low

You can expect to smell

  • Four smell boxes in the brain section.
  • General museum smells - other people, heating systems, food smells from the Café.

What you can touch

Touch: Low

You can expect to touch

  • Bandages to use to play role-play doctors.
  • Dolls to weigh and play with the Baby Clinic.
  • Buttons to press all around the gallery.
